This is my mothers recipe, we have always been big on pickled okra...snack or with meal, it doesn't matter...I could eat a whole jar by my self... You decide...Enjoy

Ingredients For mom's hot pickled okra

1 1/2 lbfresh okra

3 smdried red chile peppers

3 tspdried dill

3 tspcardamon seeds

1 cvinegar

2 cwater

How To Make mom's hot pickled okra

11. Divide the fresh okra evenly between 3 sterile (1 pint) jars. Place one dried chili, and one teaspoon of dill, and cardamon seed into each jar.

22. In a small saucepan, combine the water, vinegar and salt. Bring to a rolling boil. Pour over the ingredients in the jars, and seal in a hot water bath for 10 minutes. Refrigerate jars after opening.
