What a great side dish! I used canned tomatoes and it worked quite well. The liquid smoke adds a really nice touch.

Ingredients For mixed greens

  • 16 oz
    turnip greens, chopped, frozen
  • 16 oz
    collard greens, chopped, frozen
  • 16 oz
    spinach, chopped, frozen
  • 1
    medium onion, chopped
  • 28 oz
    tomato, peeled and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    liquid smoke flavoring

How To Make mixed greens

    Mix all ingredients together in soup pot.

    Add enough water to cover the greens.

    Cook at medium heat until greens are done.

    About 45 minutes.

    Although I like to let them simmer as long as possible to give them a better flavor.
