This recipe has been in our family for years. My dad got the recipe from our Uncle J.D. 20 years ago and I've been making them for the past several years. Without a doubt the best dill pickles you will ever eat!

Ingredients For mississippi hot dills
- INGREDIENTS, PER PINT JAR:

pickling cucumbers, freshly picked

1 sprigdill, fresh

1 clovegarlic
-
1jalepeno or serano pepper, sliced lengthwise

1 sliceonions, yellow, medium

Pickling Solution (note ratios):
-
1 qtwater, warm
-
1 ptvinegar
-
1/4 ccanning salt
How To Make mississippi hot dills

1Sterilize pint canning jars
-
2Bring pickling solution to a boil
-
3Slice cucumbers lengthwise
-
4Place dill, garlic, pepper, onion and sliced cucumber in jars

5Pour solution to 1/4 to 1/2 inch; seal jar

6Process jars in water bath canner for 10 minutes

7Let sit for six weeks to cure before polishing off a jar full!
