I like the winter squash, you can make so many varities. Butternut Squash is one of my favorite. Maple syrup provide a sweet note. I hope you enjoy this.

Ingredients For maple butternut squash

  • 2 md
    butternut squash [2 pounds each]
  • 1/2 c
    maple syrup
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter, cut in pieces
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground black pepper

How To Make maple butternut squash

  • 1
    Cut each squash lengthwise in half; discard seeds. With vegetable peeler, remove peel, then cut squash crosswise into 1-inch-thick slices.

    In 5 quart saucepot, heat 1 inch water to boiling over high heat,add squash. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until tender, About 15 minutes. Drain.

    In large bowl, combine squash,maple syrup butter, salt and pepper. With mixer at low speed, beat until smooth. Spoon into serving bowl.
