This is a wonderful recipe I make during the holidays. It's an old recipe from Taste of Home magazine that makes for a very unusual and unexpected surprise on the holiday table! Everyone LOVES these!! Best served room temperature. (Not hot.) Photo by Taste of Home

Ingredients For mandarin glazed beets

1/4 cupsugar

2 tsp.cornstarch

1/4 cuplemon juice, fresh or concentrate but fresh is better

2 Tbl.butter
-
2 (15 oz.)cans sliced beets, drained

1 (11 oz.)can mandarin oranges, drained
How To Make mandarin glazed beets

1In a large saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch. Add lemon juice and butter. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in beats; heat through. Gently stir in oranges; heat through.
