This is the best tasting asparagus I have ever had. The asparagus is softened but still crisp. Bright green and a very tasty lemony flavor.

1 lbfresh asparagus tough ends trimmed

olive oil

salt

1/2lemon sliced thinly

1bay leaf
How To Make lemony asparagus steamed in a paper bag

1Preheat oven 350 degrees. Throw the asparagus in a large lunch paper bag. Sprinkle the asparagus with salt.

2Throw in the lemon slices and bay leaf. Close the bag folding it over serveral times. Drizzle the olive oil over the outside of the bag so it don't burn.

3Place on a baking sheet and place in oven for 20 minutes.

4Remove from oven and carefully rip open the bag and drop the asparagus onto a plate. Drizzle with more olive oil and salt if desired.

5Discard the lemon and bay leaf
