Ingredients For leek haystacks

  • 1 lg
    leek
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • oil for deep frying
  • salt

How To Make leek haystacks

  • 1
    Slice the leek in half lengthwise then into quarters then into 2 inch pieces then into very fine strips. Place in bowl and sprinkle flour over top and toss to coat.

    Heat oil to 350 degrees. Deep fry in batches for about 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown. Remove to a paper towel lined plate and sprinkle with salt.
