Ingredients For layered vegetables (in a crock pot )

  • FOR THE LAYERS :
  • 6 md
    potatoes ; sliced
  • 1 lg
    onion , sliced
  • 2 lg
    carrot , sliced
  • 2 lg
    green bell pepper , sliced
  • 1 md
    zucchini , sliced
  • 1 c
    frozen or fresh corn
  • 1 c
    frozen or fresh peas
  • 1/4 lb
    sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 c
    broccoli florets
  • 1 c
    frozen or fresh cut green beans
  • FOR THE SAUCE :
  • 2-1/2 c
    tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c
    tamari sauce ( a special type of soy sauce)
  • 1 tsp
    thyme
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1 tsp
    basil
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp
    sage
  • 2 Tbsp
    parsley flakes

How To Make layered vegetables (in a crock pot )

    Layer vegetables in a large crock pot in the order given .

    Mix together all the sauce ingredients and pour over top of the layers of vegetables .

    Cover and cook on Low setting for 12 hours or on high for 6 hours.
