These were made at the spur of the moment- today and they tasted great. This recipe will taste good over toast or biscuits with a little ham chopped up into it or just the peas. Either way grate a couple of hard boiled eggs over top. Makes a great presentation. great over toast- mixed with pasta over salmon or tuna casserole mixed with potatoes

Ingredients For creamed peas deluxe

2 can14 oz. each peas(4 c.) drained-1/4 c. juice reserved

1/4 creserved liquid from peas

1/4 clemon juice

2 Tbspcornstarch

1 tspground mustard
-
1/2 cevaporated milk
-
1 tspthick worcestershire sauce
-
1/2 cshredded cheddar cheese
-
1 tspeach salt and pepper and garlic powder

2 lghard boiled eggs, grated for garnish

1 Tbspchopped green onion, for garnish
How To Make creamed peas deluxe

1Drain peas reserving 1/4 cup of liquid. Set peas aside. --- Combine the liquid from peas and the milk in a small saucepan and add the cornstarch and stir to dissolve. Add the Worcestershire sauce, s&p, mustard and garlic powder, stir to blend. Stir in lemon juice; mix well.Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until mixture thicken and does not stick in bottom of pan.

2Add cheese to sauce mixture and stir until partially melted; gently stir in peas. Cook until heated through. Pour into serving bowl and garnish top with grated eggs and chopped green onion.
