italian green beans

I planted Roma green beans this year and wanted to cook them with an Italian flavor palette. I've tweaked a few other recipes and come up with this. You can also use frozen beans - just adjust the cooking time. Buon Appetitio!

Ingredients For italian green beans

12 ozitalian/flat green beans, trimmed into 1 inch pieces

2 Tbspolive oil
-
2 tspgarlic, minced

2 tspitalian seasoning
-
1/4 tspred pepper flakes (or to taste)

salt and pepper to taste

grated parmesan, romano or your favorite for garnish
How To Make italian green beans

1Cook beans in boiling water until just tender. Drain well.

2In a skillet, heat the olive oil on medium high. Add the garlic, Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Stir for a few minutes until garlic is golden and fragrant.

3Add green beans, stirring until covered with oil/seasoning and heated through. Salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with parmesan if desired.
