    Peel off the leaves and keep them aside for other recipes like in soups, stews, salads, stir fries, etc.

    Using a paring knife, cut around the stem to remove it; keep it for recipes. Remove the florets by cutting near the core – if there are bigger florets, cut slightly at the base and snap them off.

    Remove any black dots or brown spots and discard them.
