This is our favorite way to cook asparagus. Sometimes we also add chunks of onion, cherry tomatoes and sliced mushrooms to the mix.

Ingredients For grilled asparagus

  • 1 lb
    fresh asparagus
  • 3 Tbsp
    balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    low sodium soy sauce
  • 1
    garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • ground black pepper to taste

How To Make grilled asparagus

  • 1
    Snap off tough ends of asparagus and wash well. Cut into 1 1/2 to 2 inch pieces.

    Combine all ingredients in a large ziplock bag, seal and marinate for 30 minutes.

    Preheat grill on high heat.
  • 4
    Remove asparagus from bag and discard marinade. Place in a grill basket and place basket onto grill rack.

    Grill 5 to 10 minutes or until asparagus is done.
