Being of Irish descent Grandma loved root vegetables. I have to admit beets are good and this was one of her favorite ways to eat them.

Ingredients For grandma's beets

1/2 cchopped onion

2 Tbspbutter

6 Tbsphoney

1/4 capple cider vinegar

salt to taste

1/8 tspground cloves

2 can(16 oz.) sliced beets, drained
How To Make grandma's beets

1In large skillet, saute onion in butter over medium heat until softened. Add honey, vinegar, salt and cloves; cook and stir until mixture begins to boil. Add beets; simmer to reduce liquid and until thoroughly heated (about 10 minutes).
