Ingredients For german red cabbage

3 cred cabbage, thinly sliced & about 1 to 2-inch long

1 lgapple (such as gala, spartan or mcintosh), peeled, cored and diced

1/4 cred onions, diced

2 Tbspbutter
-
1 1/2 Tbspbrown sugar, such as demerara
-
1 1/2 ozorganic apple cider vinegar
-
1 1/2 ozwater
-
1/2 tspfreshly ground black pepper, or to taste (i always use mixed peppercorns)

1/2 tspground cloves
How To Make german red cabbage

1In a wide saucepan (Wok) over medium heat, add butter and sauté onion, about 2 – 3 minutes. Add apple and sugar; cook for 2 – 3 minutes. Stir in vinegar, water and cabbage; add pepper and cloves.

2Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until cabbage is tender, about 40 minutes.
