Ingredients For nonna rosa's fried morels in cornmeal

5-6morel mushrooms per serving

2 cwhite or yellow corn meal

1 Tbspgranulated sugar

1 pinchsalt

1 pinchcracked ground pepper
How To Make nonna rosa's fried morels in cornmeal

1Heat cooking oil in skillet over medium heat until pinch of flour sizzles. Make sure morels are clean and split in half lengthwise. Reserve in cold water.

2Mix cornmeal, sugar, salt and pepper together in large bowl. Carefully bread each mushroom half (like breading chicken)

3Fry in small batches. About 6 mushrooms per serving. Can be held on tray in warm oven until all are fried. Enjoy!
