Ingredients For fried green tomatoes

  • 1 lg
    green tomatoe
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 2 lg
    egg
  • 2 pinch
    salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch
    seasoning salt
  • olive oil, extra virgin

How To Make fried green tomatoes

    slice your tomatoes about a quarter inch thick you can cut them a little thinner if you would like but I would not make them any thicker after you have done that season your flour with the salt pepper and season salt you may add more or less seasoning to taste

    then make sure you have beat the egg in separate bowl.then get you pan ready add oil so that it covers the bottom of pan get it hot dip your tomatoe in the egg then in the flour.

    when pan is ready place them in so they are spaced a little and cook until they are golden brown on both side cover when they are about half cooked so they they are nice and soft inside do not cook to fast I cook mine on a medium heat
