Once you try this tomato pie I think you will like it. I had it when I was a kid . It was my grand mothers recipe.

Ingredients For fresh tomato pie

    9 inch pie shell baked and cooled
  • 4 lg
    tomatoes peeled and sliced
  • 1 sm
    onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh basil
  • 1 tsp
    fresh chives
  • 1 c
    mayo
  • 1 c
    grated chedder cheese

How To Make fresh tomato pie

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • 2
    Sprinkle tomatoes with salt and drain on a paper towel.
  • 3
    Place layer of tomato,onion, salt, pepper, basil and chives in pie shell.
  • 4
    Blend mayo and cheese together and spread over top of pie.

    Bake at 300 degrees until bubbly. Makes one pie
