I never liked raw celery, largely due to the strings! I do, however, enjoy the taste of celery in soups and things. This casserole Mom made is full of that softened celery flavor, combined with crunchy water chestnuts. It makes this a favorite, and very easy to make often.

4 ccelery, cut in 1" pieces

2 Tbspbutter

1 cancream of chicken soup

10 ozcan of water chestnuts

1/2 cbreadcrumbs

1/4 cslivered almonds, toasted
How To Make far east celery, mom's

1Boil celery in small amount of water 8 minutes. Drain and mix in water chestnuts. Add soup, mix well. Put into a casserole, top with bread crumbs and butter. Add almonds. Bake at 350 degrees 35 minutes.
