down south essentials: tangy coleslaw dressing
(1 rating)
This is a simple recipe to assemble and tastes awesome. It is basically cabbage, carrots, and a yummy dressing. To me, this is not about the veggies, this is about the dressing. So, you can cut up your own cabbage and carrots, or you can use a premix bag… up to you. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

2Once made, let the slaw sit, covered, in the fridge for about an hour. This will give the ingredients a chance to know each other.

3If you want a coleslaw with more dressing, you might want to start by mixing in half the cabbage and carrots, and then adding a bit more at a time until you like the ratio of dressing-to-cabbage.
-
4Gather your ingredients (mise en place).
-
5Add all the ingredients to a non-reactive mixing bowl.
-
6Whisk until combined, and smooth.
-
7Add the coleslaw.
