Ingredients For deluxe peas

  • 1 Tbsp
    butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp
    chicken bouillon powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 1/2 c
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 c
    diagonally sliced celery
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried dill
  • 1/4 tsp
    curry powder
  • 12 oz
    frozen peas
  • 3/4 c
    sliced water chestnuts
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped pimiento or red bell pepper

How To Make deluxe peas

  • 1
    In a large skillet on medium heat, melt butter or margarine; stir in chicken bouillon powder, water, mushrooms, celery, and seasonings; cook for about 6 minutes, or until vegetables are almost tender.

    Stir in peas; cook, covered, for 2 minutes.

    Add water chestnuts and pimento, if using.

    Cook for about 1 minute or until heated through; stir occasionally.
