Ingredients For daniel's caribbean coleslaw

  • DRESSING:
  • 1/4 c
    honey
  • 1/2 c
    cider vinegar
  • 1 md
    lemon ,juiced
  • 1 Tbsp
    cumin seeds, toasted in a dry sauté pan until lightly smoky
  • 1 Tbsp
    curry powder
  • 1/2 c
    olive oil
  • 1/2
    jalapeño, minced
  • Directions
    whisk ingredients together until well blended.
  • SALAD:
  • 1/2 sm
    head,red cabbage, cut in thin ribbons(chiffonade)
  • 1/2 sm
    head savory cabbage, cut in thin ribbons(chiffonade)
  • 2 lg
    carrots, cut in thin strips (julienne)
  • 1 md
    red onion,minced
  • 1 bunch
    cilantro, very roughly chopped, use stems too
  • salt and cracked black pepper to taste

How To Make daniel's caribbean coleslaw

  • 1
    Toss dressing with cabbage and remaining vegetables, except cilantro and marinate for at least 2 hours. Just before serving, add cilantro and season to taste.
