Ingredients For dad's bbq slaw

  • 1 lg
    cabbage head
  • 1 can
    14.5 oz delmonte petite can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 md
    red onion
  • 2-3 sm
    green bell peppers
  • 1/2 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 2 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 tsp
    hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    celery seed, crushed

How To Make dad's bbq slaw

  • 1
    Shred cabbage using a food processor with the slicing blade. Place shredded cabbage in a large bowl.

    Using the food processor with the blade in the bottom of the food processor bowl, grate red onion and green peppers suing a couple of pulses. Do not grind red onion and green pepper too fine. It's better a little chunky.

    Add grated red onion, green peppers, petite tomatoes with juice and the remaining ingredients to the cabbage. Mix with your hands.

    Transfer to an air tight container and refrigerate for 3-4 hours.
