This is the most unusual dish, and I can't take credit for it. It comes from the Taste of Home mag by Michelle Garretson. I have made ot a few times, and it really is quite good

Ingredients For crunchy celery casserole

  • 10 stick
    celery, thinly sliced
  • 21 1/2 oz
    (2-10.75 oz) cans cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 8 oz
    sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 2.8 oz
    can french fried onions

How To Make crunchy celery casserole

    In a bowl combine the celery, soup and water chestnuts.

    Pour into a greased microwave safe dish.
  • 3
    Cover and microwave on high for 27 minutes, or until celery is tender, stirring every 5 minutes.

    Sprinkle with onions.

    This is also good when some cream cheese, soy sauce and some bacon is added in.
