Ingredients For creole-style okra

1 can14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes

1 pkg16-oz. package frozen okra, sliced

3slices bacon
-
1 cfrozen onion seasoning blend

1 ccorn kernels, frozen

1/2 cwater
-
1 tspcreole seasoning
-
1/4 tsppepper
-
hot cooked rice, optional
How To Make creole-style okra

1Cook bacon in a large pot or dutch oven until crisp; remove and drain on paper towels -- reserve drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside.

2Cook okra, tomatoes, onion/seasonings, corn, water, creole seasoning and pepper in hot bacon drippings over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.

3Reduce the heat to low and cover. Simmer 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Top with crumbled bacon. Serve over hot-cooked rice, if desired.
