Ingredients For creamed peas

  • 2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced onion
  • 1/2 clove
    parmigiano-reggiano, grated
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped basil
  • 2 c
    cooked peas

How To Make creamed peas

  • 1
    Bring the cream to a boil in a saucepan. lower the heat simmer 4 minutes to reduce it slightly. melt the butter in a small skillet, and saute the onions over medium heat to translucent 3 minutes.

    Add the cooked onion and the cheese in the cream, and continue to cook until slightly thickened, 3 minutes. add the basil, and peas, heat through and serve
