creamed mushrooms

Got this recipe from a friend. I always add a little garlic powder or garlic salt when I make mushrooms. It's up to you.

Ingredients For creamed mushrooms

  • 1/4 cup butter, 1/2 stick
  • 2 pounds mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • 6 t. milk
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • 3/4 t. paprika
  • buttered toast points

How To Make creamed mushrooms

  • 1
    Heat butter in a skillet until melted. Add mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes or until lightly cooked but not browned. Stir n the sherry. Cook over high heat for 1 minute. Add milk, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and paprika and stir to mix. Cook over low heat until smooth a slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Divide toast points among 6 plates. Pour mushroom mixture over the toast points. Serves 6
