My family loves this. I usually have to double it, and if I have it for a family get together triple it! There is never any left over.

Ingredients For creamed cabbage

  • 1
    cabbage chopped
  • 2 c
    heavy cream
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 pkg
    bacon
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make creamed cabbage

    Chop 1 head of cabbage. Place in a 2 quart baking dish.
  • 2
    Mix together heavy cream, flour and sugar. Pour over cabbage. Chop bacon into 1-2 inch squares and put on top.

    Cover and bake at 350 for about 45 minutes or until cabbage is tender and sauce is thickened. Stir a couple of times during baking, but wait until bacon has crisped a little.
