Have you ever had a chid that would not eat their vegy's? I have and boy, I fought with them to eat green beans. Here is what I did to get them to eat their vegy's. I added a fave item that most ALL kids like, CHEESE! Try it, you'll like it and so will the kids!

Ingredients For cheesy green bean casserole

  • yellow onions, velvetta cheese (cubed), garlic cubes, celery cube, mushroom soup, butter or margarine, milk, a pinch of parsely flakes, green beans (french styled)

How To Make cheesy green bean casserole

  • 1
Saute' in 1/8 cup of butter or margarine - 1/2 cup onions finely chopped, garlic cubes (3 small fresh garlic sections), 1/2 cube of celery or 1/8 cup of fresh finely chopped celery, a pinch of parsley flakes. Saute' until onions are tender, then add 1/8 cup of milk (can add more if needed; be careful you don't make it soupy), 1/2 cup of velvetta cheese, cubed (chunk about 1-2 inches thick). Once all ingrediences are mixed well and melted, add mushroom soup, mixing well using a wired wisk. Simmer for about 5 minutes then add 2 cans of french styled green beans. Simmer for about another 10-15 minutes on low heat. Ready to eat and enjoy. This recipe is great for suppers, family reunions, parties, etc. NOTE: you can add the french fried onions on top if you desire too.
