Ingredients For chayote - nicaraguan style

2 mdchayote, peeled and sliced thin

2 Tbspbutter

1 Tbspolive oil

1/2 conion, chopped

1 clovegarlic, chopped fine

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tsppepper

1/2 tspsugar

1/4 tspred pepper flakes

2 Tbsplime juice
How To Make chayote - nicaraguan style

1Heat butter and olive oil over medium high heat. Add onion and garlic, saute until soft.

2When onion is slightly brown, stir in chayote, salt, pepper, sugar and pepper flakes. Stir and cook for 5-10 minutes.

3Add lime juice, stir and cook 5 minutes longer. Serve as a side with chicken.
