carmelized brussel sprouts
Experimenting with brussel sprouts to make them attractive for my young kids to eat! These came out sweet, salty and crispy.

Ingredients For carmelized brussel sprouts

10brussel sprouts

pinchcoarse sea salt

pinchblack pepper

3 Tbsphoney

2 Tbspolive oil
How To Make carmelized brussel sprouts

1Preheat oven to 400. Heat olive oil in cast-iron pan; into olive oil add pinch of salt and pepper.

2Cut ends off sprouts, then slice in half, length-wise. Save fallen leaves to the side.

3Add to pan, flat side down.

4Sear undisturbed, for 3 min.

5Give them a good mix, turn heat off pan.

6Add fallen leaves to pan. Pour 2 tbsp of honey over the sprouts; transfer pan to oven. Let roast for 5 min.

7Remove from oven, stir, and pour remaining honey on top. Cover loosely with foil and let sit for 5 min.
