Ingredients For cabbage and bacon

  • 3-4 slice
    bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    onion, chopped
  • 6 c
    cabbage, cut into thin wedges
  • 2 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 pinch
    sugar
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 Tbsp
    cider vinegar

How To Make cabbage and bacon

    Put bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over med-high heat until evenly browned. Remove bacon and set aside.

    Cook onion in the hot bacon grease until tender. Add cabbage, stir in water, sugar, salt and pepper. Cook until the cabbage wilts, about 15 minutes. Stir in the bacon. Splash with vinegar before serving.
