Ingredients For brussels sprouts w apple, bacon and hazelnuts

  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp
    cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey
  • 2 tsp
    whole grain mustard
  • 2 c
    garlic minced
  • 1 lb
    brussels sprouts trimmed
  • 1
    honeycrisp apple peeled cored and chopped
  • 1 md
    shallot chopped
  • 6 slice
    bacon
  • 1/2 c
    chopped hazelnuts

How To Make brussels sprouts w apple, bacon and hazelnuts

    Shave the brussels sprouts in a food processor or mandalin. Set aside.

    In a medium bowl mix the oil vinegar, honey, and mustard together
  • 3
    Cook the bacon is a skillet until crispy. Remove to a paper towel to drain. Reserve the fat in the pan. Chop the bacon and set aside.

    Add shallot and garlic to the pan and saute 2 minutes. Add the brussels sprouts and apple and cook until tender crisp about 5 minutes. Take off the heat and stir in the sauce. and then toss in the bacon.

    Taste and adjust for salt and pepper. Top with the Hazelnuts to serve.
