Ingredients For broccoli with mustard sauce

  • 3
    heads of broccoli, cut into florets
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 sm
    shallot, minced
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 3 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    mustard
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    celery salt

How To Make broccoli with mustard sauce

    Place a large pot of water on the stove. Add salt and bring to a boil. Add the broccoli and cook for 10 minutes.

    While the broccoli cooks add the butter and shallots in a skillet, and cook for about 2 minutes. Mix in the flour. Slowly pour the milk into the butter mixture.

    Cook until thickened. Add the mustard, sugar and celery salt. Drain the broccoli and pour the mustard sauce over top.
