I first had a similar dish at a pot luck. I found several recipes that I liked and combined them to make my own version. The rice makes it very creamy. This could also be a main dish rather than a side.

Ingredients For broccoli cauliflower casserole

  • 1 lg
    package frozen broccoli/caulilower
  • 1 md
    onion, diced
  • 1 c
    celery, diced
  • 1 c
    minute rice
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can
    cream of celery soup
  • 1-8 oz. jar
    cheez-whiz
  • 1-4 oz. can
    mushrooms
  • 1-8 0z. can
    water chestnuts

How To Make broccoli cauliflower casserole

    Preheat oven to 350. Grease or spray a good size casserole dish.

    Thaw frozen Broccoli/Cauliflower

    Saute onion and celery.

    Combine all ingredients.

    Bake for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes until tender.
