I first found this recipe in a Land O' Lakes Butter recipe booklet I'd sent for. It has an interesting flavor thanks to the dill and dry mustard. My kids used to love it!

Ingredients For broccoli-carrot duo

  • 1 bag
    baby carrots
  • 2-3
    broccoli crowns
  • 1 Tbsp
    dry mustard
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    dill
  • 1/4 c
    minced onion
  • 1-2 stick
    (land o' lakes) butter

How To Make broccoli-carrot duo

    In the skillet the carrots and broccoli will be heated in add bag of carrots and water to boil As carrots are boiling cut up broccoli crowns to tiny stalks

    When carrots are tender add broccoli and parboil when broccoli is tender drain water - lower heat to medium

    Add seasonings, dill, dry mustard and minced onion to vegetables - place sticks of butter on top cover and simmer tossing frequently until onions are tender if you prefer fresh onion - chop fine and add with seasonings
