I made this delicious recipe over the Thanksgiving Holiday. It was a huge success! My beautiful niece Bridgitte, loved it. It was only fitting that this delite should bare her name. I hope that you all will love this as much as we all did. Cooking with Passion, sw:)

Ingredients For bridgitte's crab & spinach au gratin

1 ptlump crab meat

1 Tbspall purpose flour
-
10 oz boxspinach, frozen.. thawed & drained

1 chalf and half
-
1 csharp cheddar, shredded
-
1 citalian blend cheese, shredded
-
5 ozcream cheese
-
1 stickunsalted butter
-
2green onion, stalks chopped
-
1 Tbspgranulated garlic
-
1 tspred chili pepper
-
1 tspwhite pepper, ground

zest of one lemon
How To Make bridgitte's crab & spinach au gratin

1preheat your oven to 350 degrees. melt 1/2 of butter in a large skillet. add crab meat to skillet and gingerly saute for 2 to 3 minutes. remove the crab meat. leave all the liquid in the skillet. saute the green onions, spinach and zest for a 2-3 minutes. remove mixture from skillet. melt the remaining butter. stir in flour, salt & pepper. once well blended, add half & half, cream cheese, half of the shredded cheese and the remaining ingredients. make sure you melt the cheese.

2add and gently fold the crabmeat and spinach mixture back to skillet with the cream and cheese mixture. cook on low heat until well blended

3pour all ingredients into a lightly greased casserole dish. top with the remaining shredded cheese. bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

4serve with a salad, crackers, toast points or your favorite chips. sw?
