Black walnuts are a favorite of mine since we had a tree when I grew up. A very distinct taste that inspired this tasty salad ...perfect side for any occasion !

Ingredients For black walnut-broccolini salad

1/4 csoft cream cheese, melted

2 Tbspwhite wine vinegar

2 Tbsphoney
-
2 tsppeanut oil

1/2 tsponion powder

1 tspkosher salt

1 Tbspmayonaise

4 cchopped broccolini
-
1/2 ccrispy cooked bacon pieces

1/2 csoft golden raisins
-
3/4 cchopped black walnuts

2/3 cchopped red onions
How To Make black walnut-broccolini salad

1In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted cream cheese, vinegar, honey, peanut oil, onion powder, salt, and mayo. Whisk until well-blended, then cover and place in fridge for 5 minutes.

2In a large bowl combine the broccolini, bacon, golden raisins, black walnuts and red onions.

3Pour the dressing over the veggies and toss together.

4Cover and chill 15-20 minutes.

5Place the lightly chilled salad on serving plate or bowl.
