This recipe has been in the family for years. Just wonderful served with an oven roast of beef. Hope you all love it.

Ingredients For baked mushrooms

  • 2 lb
    fresh mushrooms (cut large ones in half)
  • 1/2 lb
    butter (not margarine)
  • 1 Tbsp
    worchestershire sauce
  • 1 md
    onion, diced
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 clove
    fresh garlic, diced
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

How To Make baked mushrooms

  • 1
    Boil all ingredients but the mushrooms until onions are soft. Put mushrooms in a baking dish and pour sauce over them.

    Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Stir occasionally.

    I make the sauce ahead and refrigerate it. Then I microwave the sauce, pour over the mushrooms and bake. I sometimes, cut the butter in half to save some calories.
