Many years ago, someone in the family collected recipes from descendants of my great grandparents, William M. and Florence E. (Snodgrass) Whaley and had them compiled into a cookbook. I am posting those recipes here so that they will not be lost. This recipe was submitted by my Aunt Evelyn.

Ingredients For aunt evelyn's broccoli casserole

1/2 cchopped onion

1/2 cchopped celery

1/4 cbutter, melted

1 cancream of mushroom soup

1 pkg(10 oz) frozen broccoli

1 cboiling water
-
1 1/2 cminute rice (use as is, not prepared)

velveeta cheese (most of a small package)

1Mix all ingredients together. Put in casserole dish

2Bake 45 minutes at 350°F.
