Ingredients For sweet and sour vegetables low sugar

  • 2 tsp
    corn starch
  • 2 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    tamari soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 1/4 c
    sliced green onion
  • 3 c
    brocolli florets
  • 1
    red bell pepper sliced in to thin strips
  • 2
    sliced carrots
  • 1/4 c
    water

How To Make sweet and sour vegetables low sugar

    Cut up vegetables.Place vegetables,and 1/4 cup of water in a pan with a lid.Bring to a boil. Reduce to medium and cover. Steam for 3-5 minutes,or until desired tenderness.

    Combine the sugar and corn starch together in a bowl.mix in the soy sauce,pineapple juice,and vinegar until smooth. Put in to the pan you cooked vegetables. Cook and stir until it thickens.

    Strain vegetables. Toss the vegetables with the sauce. Sprinkle sesame oil, green onion and toss.
