Ingredients For super quick rice with kidney beans

  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1 can
    (15.5 oz.) kidney beans, drained
  • 2
    chicken bouillon cubes
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1/2 tsp
    hot sauce
  • 2 c
    quick cooking brown rice, uncooked

How To Make super quick rice with kidney beans

    In a large skillet on medium heat, saute bell pepper and onions in butter until tender, stirring frequently.

    Stir in water, kidney beans, chicken bouillon and hot sauce. Bring to a boil. Stir in the rice and cover.

    Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Serve immediately. This can either be a main dish with a salad and rolls, or it can be a side dish accompanying the meat of your choice.
