My new favorite way to eat cooked broccoli. I wanted to make a simple, delicious, & quick recipe using broccoli. Husband tried it & loved it.

Ingredients For roasted broccoli

  • 1 bunch
    broccoli florets
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/2 c
    parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • lemon juice, fresh

How To Make roasted broccoli

    Preheat oven to 450.
  • 2
    Line baking sheet with nonstick aluminum foil. Boil water in medium saucepan. Add 1.2 tsp kosher salt to the water. While water is boiling, prepare broccoli by cutting into florets. Also prepare a mixing bowl with ice water.

    Drop broccoli into boiling water for no longer than 1 minute. Immediately strain broccoli & place into ice water to shock & stop the cooking.

    Drain the broccoli onto paper towels or a kitchen towel. Place drained broccoli onto prepared baking sheet & season with salt & pepper & drizzle olive oil over broccoli.

    Place in oven & roast for 10 minutes. When done, remove from oven & place in serving dish & sprinkle lemon juice & parmesan. Serve
