These are delicious. Sweet with a bite to it. You hardly can tell you are eating asparagus. They are crispy and pickely. MMmmm

Ingredients For my sweet garlic pickled asparagus

  • THIS MAKES 1 QUART JAR ADJUST INGREDIENTS FOR MORE JARS
  • 1 lb
    fresh asparagus cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1/2 c
    pickling salt
  • 2 1/2 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 5 clove
    garlic smashed
  • 2 sprig
    fresh dill
  • 1 tsp
    mustard seed
  • 1 tsp
    pink peppercorns (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 sm
    onion thinly sliced

How To Make my sweet garlic pickled asparagus

    Mix pickling salt, vinegar, and sugar together in pan on stove and bring to a boil and cook until sugar has dissolved.

    Pack all ingredients in jar and pour hot liquid over top.

    Seal and process in water bath for 15 minutes.
