mom's peas with onions and bacon
This is one of my daughter's, Stephanie, favorite way to have peas. I will often use green beans in place of the peas as well. They are equally delicious (just not so nutritious!).

Ingredients For mom's peas with onions and bacon

8 slicebacon, diced

1 smyellow onion, minced

3 cfrozen peas

salt and pepper to taste
How To Make mom's peas with onions and bacon

1In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, brown diced bacon, about 3 to 6 minutes. Add onion to the pan, and sauté another 3 minutes or so, until onions are just tender.

2Add peas and reduce heat to medium. Season with salt and pepper and cook peas, 5 minutes or until heated through.

3Transfer to a shallow bowl and serve. You can also use steamed fresh or frozen snap peas. Makes 4 servings.
