japanese coleslaw
My husband found this in an old DOS recipe program years ago, and I found it (with a different name) at Food.com. It is a delicious alternative to regular coleslaw!

Refrigerate/Freeze
Ingredients For japanese coleslaw
- FOR THE SLAW

1head of cabbage, sliced & rough chop

4-5green onions, chopped

4 Tbspsesame seeds
-
4 Tbspalmonds, slivered

2 pkgramen noodles
- FOR THE DRESSING
-
4 Tbspsugar
-
1 coil (less 2 tbsp)
-
2 Tbspsesame oil
-
1 tspsalt
-
1/2 tsppepper
-
6 Tbsprice vinegar
-
3 Tbsplemon juice
How To Make japanese coleslaw

1Mix dressing and marinate sliced cabbage and chopped onions for approximately 4 hours.

2Toast sesame seeds, almonds and Ramen noodles on cookie sheet at 400 degrees.

3Toss toasted items into marinated cabbage just before serving.
