I love the little crunch you get from the waterchesnuts, they really set this dish apart! And of course who doesn't love a bit of bacon with their beans!

Ingredients For green bean casserole

3-4 canfrench style green beans
-
1 canwhole waterchesnuts, drained and diced into small cubes

6 slicebacon, cooked and crumbled

1 cancream of mushroom soup

1 canfrench fried onions
How To Make green bean casserole

1Drain green beans and waterchesnuts in colander until all of the liquid has drained off.

2Dice up water chesnuts into small cubes

3Mix soup, green beans and water chesnuts together in a bowl.

4Transfer green bean mixture into a 2 quart casserole.

5Crumble crisply cooked bacon and french fried onions and sprinkle over the top! It's delicious!

6Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
