Caramelized garlic and cheese! Is there anything better with green beans? You'd better make plenty for everyone. Can't believe that I left the Parmesan on the counter for the photo! But added it later and it added a nice touch to the beans.

Ingredients For garlic green beans

  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 md
    head garlic, peeled and sliced
  • 1 14-oz can
    green beans, drained
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 c
    parmesan cheese, grated

How To Make garlic green beans

  • 1
    Melt butter in a large skillet, and stir in olive oil and garlic.

    Saute over low heat until the garlic is slightly brown.

    Stir in the green beans, and season with salt and pepper.
  • 4
    Cook until beans are thoroughly heated, about 10 minutes.

    Turn off heat and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
