Ingredients For fried okra

1 lbokra, fresh or frozen

1/2 coil

1 cflour
-
1/2 ccorn meal
-
1/2 cmilk
-
pepper to taste
How To Make fried okra

1Slice fresh okra into 1/2 thick slices discarding the ends. If using frozen sliced okra, thaw the okra.

2Mix flour, corn meal and pepper in a shallow dish.

3Dip okra slices in the milk.

4Dredge okra in flour mixture to coat.

5Heat oil in a large skillet. Place coated okra carefully in the oil.

6Cook stirring frequently but gently until it is golden brown. Remove from oil with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel lined plate.
