The old monthly magazine is now called Arkansas Living...but back then it was called Rural Arkansas. Here are a couple recipes from "back in the day"...? BTW...it does not say who the recipes were submitted by, so I do not know who to give credit to!!!

1DIRECTIONS FOR FIRST RECIPE: COMPANY SPINACH

2Sauté onion in the butter, add cream, chopped bacon and spinach. Heat thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serves 6

4Cook carrots in boiling, salted water until tender. Mix and heat remaining ingredients. Pour over boiled, drained, carrots. Serves 6
