Ingredients For cabbage jambalaya

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 lb
    smoked sausage, cut into thin slices
  • 1
    onion, chopped fine
  • 3 stalk
    celery, chopped fine
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1
    head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 can
    rotel tomatoes
  • 1 can
    black eyed peas
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 c
    uncooked rice
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make cabbage jambalaya

  • 1
    In large pot, combine ground beef, smoked sausage, onion, celery, and garlic. Cook until beef is evenly browned.

    Stir in cabbage, tomatoes, peas, water, and rice. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. cover and cook for 35 to 40 minutes or until rice is done.
